Students' summer pilgrimage to top universities
学生掀起暑期高校游
Tens of thousands of students from all over China are swamping leading universities in the capital city during the summer vacation, some in organized groups for a summer camp and some accompanied by their parents, with travel costs differing depending on the situation.
来自全国各地的数万名学生在暑期涌入北京名校参观游览，有些参加了有组织的夏令营，有些由家长陪同前往，费用不等。
文中的summer pilgrimage就是指“暑期高校游”，top/leading universities也就是指著名高校。Pilgrimage原意是指“朝圣”，可以翻译为“参拜之行；瞻仰之旅”，“去朝圣”可以用go on/make a pilgrimage表示。Pilgrimage一词在这里写出了学生对于名校的崇拜和敬仰之情。
暑假来临了，很多学生也利用这个假期参加各种活动，提高自己的综合素质，例如summer camp（暑期夏令营）、outdoor education（户外教育）、outward bound/development（拓展训练）等等，也有些人利用空余时间参加continuation class（补习班）补习功课，你又参加了哪些暑期活动呢？
